Looking to become a Nurse or Doctor?
This placement is for anyone who is contemplating a career in medicine. This placement is in one of the major hospitals in the capital of China - Beijing. But you do not need to be able to speak Chinese!
Practical Experience and College Credit.
This is ideal to gain real work experience plus College Credit in medicine and health care - we've got all you'll need right here!
Furthermore we can offer this useful experience in surroundings infinitely more absorbing, eye-opening and adventurous than you'll find closer to home.
Whether you are thinking of applying to medical school or are already on a course, we can arrange valuable medical work experience for you in the capital city Beijing. You’ll shadow a doctor, spending time in various departments, both western medicine and traditional Chinese Acupuncture and Naprapathy.
While the facilities are modern, these clinic are devoted to traditional medicine, which runs in conjunction with Western medical practices in China. You may find that you want to concentrate your time in one area, or learn about the interplay of both types of medicine and the holistic approach that is taken to health.
You will be assigned a supervisor who will be able to advise and support you during your placement. You will typically accompany a Doctor Monday to Friday. There is also opportunity to work within the health club and learn about complimentary medicines.
Having experienced Chinese culture on your placement, our local staff can help you can spend weekends and free time exploring further, from the Summer Royal Palace to the unforgettable sight of the Great Wall.
MediCal Internship
On application we will call you to discuss any questions. You will also be sent your pre-departure Briefing Packs and Greenforce polo. We will ensure you are fully prepared for your adventure.
Airport collection from Beijing International airport. Welcome and safety briefing. Beijing city tour. Then the next day you will be taken to the main hospital where your introduction and basic training is included. 4 weeks at the hospital including accommodation and training. Breakfast and most evening meals are included, but due to flexible work requirements you will be responsible for some meals. Emergency back up. Airport drop off. Departures: January, April, July and October.

To gain more from your experience, add on one extra week for Mandarin language lessons. Only £300 $500 extra week to include accommodation, breakfast and 4 hours per day of lessons.
