THAILAND : Train to be a PADI Dive Instructor
Career Change? Gap Year? Earn overseas? Never Dived? Experienced Diver? - all welcome!
Our three or four month PADI Dive Instructor programme is ideal for those seeking a career change, taking a Gap Year, looking to work in a year off as a Dive Instructor (we have a dive instructor work placement service) or just for those who wish to develop their diving to the ultimate level.
From beginner to experienced, we will train you to instructor level, provide your accommodation plus give you all your dive kit including computer, new, to keep!
On Arrival: Your car will collect you from Bangkok International airport, and take you to the coast. After your Welcome briefing and paperwork, we then settle you into your apartment. This will be your home for the next three months (see kit page for room view).
The next day we start on your training and the beginning of your whole new way of life. We also measure you up for your free dive equipment (see kit page), plus collect the dive books that you will need to study. But most important, is to get you in the warm water!
You can start this program with either PADI Open Water or PADI Advanced Open Water Qualifications. Other qualification levels available - if you are not qualified see our Red Sea programmes for a low cost entry into diving or we can train none divers but over six months all the way from beginner to Instructor!
Not only will you benefit from learning to be an PADI Open Water Instructor, but your course based in Thailand provides the perfect location to explore this stunning country. Then there is more...
National Geographic Qualification
As part of Greenforce's Environmental commitment, you will also be certified into the National Geographic programme. This additional training enables you to have a greater understanding of the marine environment and how to operate as an instructor in balance with the coral and fish species.
The National Geographic Certification shows a commitment to the sustainability of the environment in which you will work.

A major bonus of the Greenforce Dive Instructor programme, is that we give you all the kit you need. You train with it and then keep it at the end, so you are familiar with your kit and don't need to invest in new equipment at the beginning of your career.
The kit includes Scuba Pro regs, new wetsuit, mask, fins, compass, BCD and dive knife.
Plus you also receive the award winning Suunto Gekko dive computer to log all your dives with!!!

AccomMOdation and Job Placement Service
Included in the Greenforce Dive Instructor programme is your two bed apartment for the three/four months. Securely based close to the dive school, and all the local facilities, it is set back, typically with a balcony to ensure you have a safe place to stay. You are also in a great position to head off at weekend to explore all that Thailand has to offer. As most Greenforce volunteers do some traveling after graduating, even if only spending a few extra days in Bangkok, an airport drop off is not included.
We also give you access to the job placement service. We can help you source Dive Instructor placements in Thailand.
Greenforce also has paid instructor positions on our Fiji and Bahamas marine projects available to you once you qualify. There is typically at least one job available to each qualifying class. Alternatively check out our Australia Visa program for a guaranteed three month job on Australia's Gold Coast! An ideal start to use your new qualification.
THAILAND INSTRUCTOR ADVENTURE INCLUDES:
On receipt of your Booking Form, we will call to discuss any questions you may have. You then receive briefing packs including medical, kit, FCO advice, country history and project information. Plus your GF polo. You will also be invited to your Meet Your Team briefing day and BBQ in Central London. We will fully prepare you before you go.
None diver? Six months including accommodation: £5,950.
