GreenFORCE project led programs work at the request of and alongside our host partners. For over 15 years we have helped create a sustainable future for at risk communities. Biodiversity surveys contributing into Local Area Management Plans. Conservation programs that include singles species protection programs. Biology and Geographic study that results in the creation of new National Parks and Marine Reserves all require the full time scientific support that the in country GreenFORCE scientific team provide.

To build on our established scientific basis and provide opportunities to those currently studying in related fields we offer the GreenFORCE Scholarship Award (GSA).

The GreenFORCE Scholarship Award

“To promote the study and advancement of all branches of Biology” 
Association of Applied Biologists.

What?

University approval, pre agreed study areas and the opportunity to complete thesis papers as well as publication via ARC and peer review are all reasons why students already join GreenFORCE programs to complete their dissertation or study.

The GreenFORCE Scholarship Award (GSA) is another example of our support for Geography and Biology study in the field. The GSA provides financial assistance to those students, who with their Lecturers support, are seeking to develop their professional career.

How?

First select your GreenFORCE Program: This award is offered for Marine Conservation Students:
- Fiji Marine Research Project
- Marine Conservationist Training in the Bahamans

Geography and Terrestrial Biology Students:
- African Conservation and Wildlife program
- South American Amazon Conservation program

You should be currently or intending to study: A Level / Undergraduate / Graduate in Geography, Biology, Environmental Science, Marine Conservation or similar.
(The GSA Application pack lists all the pre-agreed courses).

Your GreenFORCE Scholarship Award Application Form should be accompanied by a letter from your Lecturer/ Teacher confirming your participation on the relevant course. In addition, please ask your Tutor to confirm that you will benefit educationally from participation on your selected program. Any additional information about yourself and your study is always useful.

Your Scholarship Award is to be used solely toward your GreenFORCE program, your training and active participation. Granting this award will come within the charitable rules as applicable. This Award is not transferable to another person or program.

How Much?

The GSA award receives charitable funding so the numbers and amount of the awards will vary each year. One of the core aims is to provide the greatest number of deserving students with some award as opposed to a limited number receiving a fully funded award.

For 2012 the awards will fund up to 40% of the program costs to ensure the maximum number benefit in these difficult times.
