An excellent, well organized project to go on in your gap year, and a fantastic way to learn about the local people and have local experiences, that you otherwise would not be offered on your own. You make friends for life, and pick up skills along the way. I would (and have) recommended Greenforce projects to friends wanting to experience the world, but don't know how to organize it. I spent a LONG LONG time, researching difference gap year companies in preparation for my travels, and I found that most of them were total rip-offs and didn't offer what I wanted, and I found that only a small handful(about 2 or 3 companies) were legitimate, and this is one of them. The Bahamas was AWESOME!!

"Dom and Joe were the best expedition leaders you could ask for, without their hard work it definitely wouldn`t have been the same physically challenging and satisfying expedition! They looked after 12 of us for 10 weeks, didn’t complain and became more like a friend to all of us. All the other volunteers were great, its a perfect time to develop social skills and work as part of a team.

Finally, I also climbed up Kilimanjaro, and from the first sights of it in Uchira I really thought it would be impossible. However, with great amounts of physical and mental stamina and endurance I made it to the top in 5 days. It felt like the proudest moment of my life, it really is a huge achievement and to anyone considering doing it, push yourself and do it!"
